Sunday School welcomes young people up to the age of twenty to learn more about God and their identity as described in the Bible. Students find out how knowing more about God can make a practical difference in their lives.
Sunday School instruction is based on the Bible – beginning with the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Sermon on the Mount. Explanatory text provided by Science and Health with Key to The Scriptures. Students learn how to dig into the Bible for healing ideas and biblical examples – then how to practice these healing ideas and experience healing.
Teachers tailor each class to suit the individual students needs and interests. Small class size ensures every student is heard. The format is give and take discussions. All questions welcome – tough questions encouraged.
The Sunday School format starts with everyone together – singing a hymn, reading a Bible excerpt, and reciting “The Lord’s Prayer”. Then the school breaks, with students and their teacher moving to their individual classrooms. The last ten minutes of Sunday School, all gather together again to close with a hymn and a reading.
The very young are welcome in the childcare room where they are lovingly cared for while their parents attend church. When you arrive, you will be directed to the childcare room. Sign your children in, with any special instructions. Feel free to linger after church to meet people. Your children will be cared for until you arrive.
